Mommy takes us "camping"

Every year, our church goes on a camping trip over memorial day weekend to my favorite place in the entire world! Camp Weed! I have the greatest memories ever from being at camp! We always have tons of fun on this trip, hanging out, swimming, and going down the Ichetucknee. My mommy isnt much of a camper, so we stay in the conference center. But we spend lots of time at the camp site with everyone!  Last year it rained. A lot. And as we were leaving home...

it looked like it might do the same thing. But, we headed towards blue skies!

And it was a beautiful weekend!

We finally got to camp!

Friday afternoon, and me and my amazing mommy drove around camp.

Mandi's Chapel

The bridge..... The very scary bridge.

Mandi's <3

The field was toooo big for mommy, so she drove :)

There was (and always is) a beautiful sunset behind Mandi's
We got up Saturday morning to try to see the sunrise.... didnt work out. But I got a pretty cool picture of Mandi's.

My sister stayed at the camp site with her friends that night, so while my mommy went to get her, I went back to sleep. I woke back up and did not feel good at all! So I had to stay while everyone went down the Ichetucknee :( My wonderful mommy dropped jj back off at the camp site so she could go woth friends, and then my wonderful mother came back to stay with me. Of course, once everyone left I felt just fine! So me and my mommy spent the morning driving around town (down the street from camp) and walking around camp.

We found a very pretty church!

 With very pretty flowers.

 And a very pretty bell.

Back at camp, I showed my mommy around and told her stories from summer camp.

At the hay barn, we have a bell. The purpose of this bell is for it to be heard from very far away. My mommy didnt know this until after she decided to ring it. Her reacton to how loud it was was absolutely priceless. I wish I had known it was coming so that I could take a picture...

We went into Mandi's. I could stay in there forever!

Then everyone came back, and we got ready to go to the pool to swim and eat dinner!

My lovely sister, JJ<3

While we were waiting, JJ and her bestie wanted pictures around camp...

Im not sure why, but I really, really like this picture.
and this one <3

My stunning mommy doesnt usually swim, so she sits there and looks pretty.<3

While we wait for the inevitable game of water polo that is tradition.

There was a sun shower after swimming! And after that, yet another gorgeous sunset...

Sunday morning, before service at the camp site, I took a walk.

I never want to leave!! No matter how long im there. For the weekend, for an hour to drop my sister off for summer camp, or a week to be there myself for summer camp. I never ever want to leave! It feels like home. This is where I feel safest and closest to God.

Totally stupid, yet it makes my day.

My baby boy (who has no name yet...) has decided he likes to be on the computer with me.

Today while I was at school, my awesome mommy went in to check on him and couldnt find him. She saw a pile of clothes on the ground that started moving...

He was taking a nap in the sleeve of one of my shirts... Silly boy. <3

My wonderful mommy picked me up early from school today!! Buuuut.....it was to take me to the dermatologist. Joy. The doctor i was supposed to see was running late with another patient. Ok, it happens. But an hour?? An hour of sitting and waiting...not my thing. Well, the nurse type guy that I had I have had one other time before and he recognized me and my mom. We think he's probably gay, which I have no problem with at all, but that little detail will help you imagine what happened today....
He was facing me, with his back to my mom, asking me questions and my mom was making some weird face. I dont know, she does that. So I started laughing, and the guy was like "What the heck am I missing??" So I told my mommy to make the face again, and she wouldnt. He figured he didnt want to know. Once me and my mom start laughing, we laugh at everything. The guy turned to his computer with his back to both of us and for some reason we started laughing again. He simply told us we were crazy... This kind of stuff happens all the time. And thats one reason I love my mother oh so very much. She can makes trips to the dermatologist fun, even after waiting an hour!

My Brothers and My Second Mother

God has blessed me with not just one absolutely fantastically wonderfully amazing mother, but two! That right. My mom's best friend, Momma Binky!

My Mommy and Momma Binky have been best friends since they were in the 4th grade together.

They grew up together in St. Petersburg, Florida.

My Mommy moved to Jacksonville when she was almost 16, and they stayed close.

They were each other's maid of honor at their weddings.

They had their first kids 6 months apart.

They would visit each other in either Jacksonville or St. Pete often, and KK and TT grew up together.
(thats me and my best friend!)

Tea Party! One of many...

Trips to the zoo!

Play dates at home.

And lots more! Then, when i was two, JJ was born! Then two years after her came C! And they were now included in our little family! We would even go over to Momma Binky's sister's house and hang out with her kids too!

We would make lots of trips to the beaches and gardens in both Jacksonville and St. Pete. Those seem to be some favored spots.

We even took a special trip to a river house once! We had lots of fun there floating down the river with otters swimming right under us, and sitting in the yard by the river catching minnows. I still remember keeping the minnows in a sand bucket in my room over my bunk bed, and breaking up a hotdog but to feed to them.

Those were the days. When we could drive an easily worth it 5 hour drive to visit some of my favorite people! When C would come spend a week out of the summer at our house (T is allergic to our kitties...)

Earlier days were spent...playing dress up.
He asked me to! I Swear!!

We went all out.
Then he grew up and lost interest in playing dress up. Darn :/ So we spent some time on the boat.

Sometimes we even met in Orlando!

Me and C at Disney

Margaritaville at Universal

Unfortunately, thats not as easy as it used to be. Momma Binky's husband is in the Coast Guard, so they kinda move a lot. They have lived in Tampa and St Pete here in Florida. Also Puerto Rico and Alaska! Momma Binky loved living in Alaska so much the last time, they decided to try to get another job there. They did, and I miss them terribly!
Last summer, we got the amazing opportunity to go visit them in their 10 square mile town of Petersburg, Alaska!

Being in Alaska was kind of cool and all...(yeah, try very cool)

but the best part was getting to see my brothers and my other mother again.

The Kids!
T, C, KK, and JJ
We got to do some amazing stuff!!

We spent lots of time on the little Coast Guard boat the families use, because their town is on an island.

We got to see really awesome stuff, like sea lions on buoys!
Beautiful ice burgs!

A seal hangin out on an ice burg. (which is a big deal apparently)

And a hike to a spectacular waterfall!

We also got to do cool stuff like kayaking, a cook out on the beach, and a hike around 3 lakes.

Me and Momma Binky!

This is their beach.

This lake had a boat!
They actually trusted me and C to go out by ourselves...we got stuck int he middle, then it started to rain.

We also got to go to Juneau!

And do lots of fun stuff there, too.

Mendenhall Glacier

Shrine of St. Therese

And have this as our view at lunch!

Thanks to the Mount Roberts Tramway.

But still, my favorite part was getting to see my second family.

My Mommy and Momma Binky are two of the most important people in my life. Im so lucky to have two wonderful people to call mom. They are both so amazing and loving and supportive and I would be completely lost without them. I think moms are angels sent from God.

Even when they make us do some really really weird stuff...

We still love them.

Besides, we pay them back by doing our own crazy stuff...

And somehow, they still love us. (:
